Out now for App users and supporters through the in-App updater — the free community release follows. Every feature is a toggle in mod_wowlegends.conf and ships safe by default: 100 bots, World PvP off, World Events off, AI chat ready for your own key.

World PvP

  • All-zones World PvP — an optional realm setting turns the whole open world into PvP: every player is held flagged everywhere, so enemy-faction players and the AI bots are attackable out in the world — alive and dangerous even solo. Same-faction players, GMs, and capitals/sanctuaries stay safe; your own /pvp is untouched. Run it always on, or as timed windows — a set duration every interval, announced server-wide as each opens and closes. WowLegends.WorldPvP.*
  • GMs run the windows — open or close a PvP window on demand with .worldpvp start [minutes] / .worldpvp stop, and check the mode and timer with .worldpvp status.
  • Bots hunt players across every zone — with World PvP on, bots pursue enemy-faction players (and each other) everywhere, including starting and leveling zones, regardless of level. Idle bots stay flagged, so they're always attackable.
  • Smarter bot PvP targeting — in a fight, bots focus the enemy healer first, then the lowest-health target. Engagements feel deliberate, not random. WowLegends.SmartPvpTargeting.Enabled
  • Faction combat taunts — as a bot charges an enemy player it shouts a readable cross-faction taunt (“Die, Alliance scum!”), throttled so it stays flavour. WowLegends.BotTaunts.Enabled (off by default)

Groups & Companions

  • Auto-summon into dungeons — zone into a dungeon or raid as group leader and your party's bots are summoned to you a few seconds later, reviving any that died on the way. No more typing summon — works whether you queue solo through the Dungeon Finder or form your own group. WowLegends.AutoSummonBots.*
  • Companions that remember — your personal companion now remembers the milestones you live through together while grouped — leveling up, felling a boss, falling in battle — and retells your shared adventures when you chat with it. WowLegends.Companion.Memory.*

World Events — Faction Battlefronts

  • A world that fights back — a contested capture point erupts in a random Eastern Kingdoms or Kalimdor zone, on a timer or started by a GM. Both factions — players and bots — fight over a war banner in a tug-of-war; hold the cap to win. Real players count far more than bots (3:1), so they decide it. Guards defend the point and a pack of bots is pulled in, so there's always a brawl. Winners take gold, honor and a victory buff; the losing side earns a small consolation. WowLegends.WorldEvents.* (off by default)
  • GM & addon control — .wlevent start [zone|index] (random, or one of 16 curated zones), .wlevent stop, .wlevent status (capture %, time left, a .go line to the banner), and .wlevent zones to list them.

AI Companions

  • Bots have moods: insult one and it snaps back, can storm out of your group, or roar in anger.

Hardcore

  • One life: when a hardcore character dies it becomes a fallen hero, forever.
  • No way back — corpse runs and the spirit healer are disabled for the fallen.
  • Run hardcore realm-wide, or let players opt in at level 1 by command or by speaking to the Herald of the Fallen in their starting zone.
  • Mak'gora — a consensual duel to the death between hardcore players.
  • Optional glowing aura to mark living hardcore heroes, and server-wide announcements when one opts in or falls.

Progression & Gear

  • Per-character XP rates with .xp set — slow classic leveling or a fast blast to max, decided per character with no realm-wide compromise.
  • Instant gear with .character gear — level-appropriate uncommon, rare, epic, or the best available, all spec-aware, enchanted and gemmed.

Easier first-time setup

  • A guided first-run setup wizard walks you through it step by step: install the repack, start your realm, turn on Remote Access, and secure your accounts — each with live status and a one-click action.
  • Video walkthroughs built right in — links to short guides for installing the repack and installing the registration website, shown exactly where you need them.
  • Your starting logins (the admin and service accounts) are shown right after install with copy buttons, so you always have a way in.
  • Clearer throughout: the App installs your game server; the registration website is a separate, optional download — now spelled out so it's never confusing.

Sturdier installs

  • Installs the Microsoft Visual C++ runtime automatically when it's missing, so a fresh PC no longer fails with a VCRUNTIME140_1.dll not found error.
  • Checks free disk space before the multi-gigabyte download and warns early if there isn't room.
  • If another MySQL/MariaDB already uses the database port, the App now tells you up front — before downloading — instead of failing partway through.
